Coffee pot, maker: Harris, CS & Sons London; goldsmiths' firm; fl. 1817–1933 and Harris, Charles Stuart fl. 1852–1897. Purchased, Silver coffee vessel, ribbed, pear-shaped, supported on four ball-shaped profiled legs; belly decorated with a band of narrow half-cylinders and grooves. High spout-like side handle and a contemporary wooden axial handle set in silver sockets. Upper edge edged with a godron band; hinged lid, domed center, topped with a bowling-pin finial. Dated 1895–1896. Place: London, England. Dimensions: height 21.2 cm; width 18.5 cm; depth 10 cm; weight 640 g., A metallic pitcher with a hinged oval lid open upward, showing a reflective inner surface; the pitcher has a tall, slender neck that flares at the rim, a broad handle running down the front, a rounded body with horizontal ribbed bands near the upper section, and rests on a few small rounded feet. Visible colors include silver, gray, and subtle darker gray reflections against a gradient gray background.
