Coffee pot by Harris, CS & Sons London; goldsmiths' firm, fl. 1817–1933 and Charles Stuart Harris fl. 1852–1897. Scrap-purchased. Pear-shaped, ribbed coffee vessel with godron ornaments; supported on four profiled, ball-shaped legs. Belly decorated with a band of narrow half-cylinders and grooves. High side spout-like handle and a wooden handle added later, mounted on the axis in silver sockets. Upper edge finished with a godron band. Hinged lid, domed in the center, topped with a bowling-pin finial. Dated 1895/1896. Great Britain London, England. Height 21.2 cm; width 18.5 cm; depth 10 cm; weight 640 g., A transparent glass vessel with a curving, elongated body and a narrow neck topped by a lid with a dark small knob, resting on a few small spherical feet; the vessel shows decorative horizontal ridged bands around its midsection and a smooth handle-like projection down its front, all shown against a gradient background with shades of gray and white.
