Coffee pot by Harris, CS & Sons London; goldsmiths' firm, fl. 1817–1933 and Charles Stuart Harris maker, fl. 1852–1897. Purchased; scrap - purchased. Pear-shaped, ribbed coffee vessel with godron ornaments; supported on four profiled, ball-shaped legs. Belly decorated with a band formed by narrow half-cylinders and grooves. High spout-shaped side handle; wooden handle contemporary addition set on the axis in silver sockets. Upper edge edged with godron band; hinged lid domed in the center, topped with a bowling-pin finial. Dated 1895/1896. Great Britain, London. Vessel. Height 21.2 cm; width 18.5 cm; depth 10 cm; weight 640 g., A reflective metal pitcher with a curving spout and a high, flared neck sits against a smooth gradient background; the body is rounded with ribbed horizontal decoration around the midsection and rests on small round feet, while a hinged lid is propped open and a dark, curved handle attaches to the side. The visible colors are metallic silver on the pitcher, black on the handle and lid hinge components, and shades of gray in the background.
