A decorated enclosed bridge with carved reliefs and small latticed windows spans the canal between the buildings, forming a prominent arch over the water. Beyond the arch the canal continues toward a distant view of additional stone buildings and a small arched pedestrian bridge, and a few gondolas or small boats are visible moored along the far edge. The visible colors are shades of brown, beige, and off-white.
