A depiction of a hand putting a coin into a purse with the inscription FOR THE COMMUNICATION CENTRE AND SUMMER CAMP; artist: Jan Kanty Trzebinski; lithograph; Radom printing house; 1917; charity stamps; graphic print ephemera; philanthropy; Poland; World War I; 20th century., The image shows a sepia-toned drawing of two hands; one hand holds a rounded bottle-like object wrapped in cloth and the other hand is poised above it holding a small round disc. The scene is framed by a rectangular border with hatched shading around the edges. The bottle and hands are rendered with dense crosshatching and line work; there are areas of darker brown shading on the hands and bottle and lighter beige background with scattered linear marks. In the lower part of the image there is a suggestion of vertical and diagonal lines that form abstract shapes and a hint of architectural forms near the right edge, all depicted in the same brown ink on a cream-colored paper.
