The tiara, made around 1800, contains 1,386 Brazilian diamonds and ancient Indian briolettes and is centered by a historic 13-carat pink diamond purchased by the Tsar. Friedrich John Friedrich Theodor Michael John, 1769–1843 — who studied in Vienna, painted portraits including Józef Poniatowski after Benner and later turned to illustrations from 1822 — is associated with the engraving; the print bears a dedication to Helena Radziwill née Przezdziecka, 1753–1821.
