The decorative border around the portrait features floral and scroll motifs in gray. The background of the sheet is off-white with visible foxing spots in light brown, and there is a dark signature-like flourish below the portrait in black. The outer edges of the sheet show a thin dark margin. Colors visible include off-white, gray, black, and light brown.
