Russia; icon; height 35.5 cm, width 30.6 cm., A painted religious icon shows a central figure wearing a deep burgundy robe with gold trim and decorative patterns, holding a smaller figure dressed in pinkish-orange and green garments; both figures have gold haloes behind their heads. The larger figure's robe features intricate gold embroidery and a patterned border, and the smaller figure sits on the larger figure's arm with one hand raised. The background is an olive-green panel framed by a thin red border, and there are rectangular side panels in muted beige with small standing figures in red and green garments and gold haloes on each side. The palette includes burgundy, gold, olive green, beige, pinkish-orange, and touches of black and cream.
