Canonical variant of the image of Our Lady of Tikhvin — colors predominating in green, vermilion, and ochre. The icon was most likely heavily repainted in the 2nd half of the 20th century. It has a cover consisting of a basma, background, and wreaths — brass repoussé, with very rich ornamentation, especially in the corners motif of candelabra, medallions with garlands. The frame is covered with an engraved floral and plant pattern; the applied haloes are surrounded by radially arranged leaves. 19th century, Russia. Height 31.3 cm, width 24.2 cm., A rectangular metal frame with an ornate embossed border and a central silhouette-shaped cutout; the frame shows worn and peeled areas revealing shiny metallic patches beneath a darker surface, with decorative floral and bead motifs along the edges and circular rosette-like designs near the top corners, and overall colors of dark brown or black with patches of gold and brass tones against a light gray background.
