The middle wing of the triptych shows the Mother of God standing with her arms raised in a prayer gesture and shielding two groups of figures, including people and angels, with her mantle. Above the figure of Mary are ribbons with inscriptions. In the background are schematically marked trees. At the top is the inscription: Image of the Most Holy Theotokos, Consolation of the Sorrowful. The axis shows the Mandylion, which most often appears on brass items from the workshops of the Old Believers. Dimensions: 7 x 5.7 x 0.2–3 cm; 18th/19th century; icon; height 7 cm, width 5.7 cm, depth 0.2 cm., A roughly square, flat metallic object with a short rectangular tab extending upward from its top edge, showing a worn and textured surface with vertical scrape marks and pitted areas; the metal appears in shades of brown, brass, and dark bronze with darker tarnished spots, and the edges are slightly curled at the corners with a small irregular hole near one lower corner; the background is a smooth, pale gray.
