Water vessel qulla, bottle, Coptic vessel. Water vessel bottle, gulla. Ovoid, elongated body, wider in the uppermost part, above half the vessel's height. Low foot, hollow inside, poorly defined externally. Two small vises are glued to the arms, and between them, on an axis perpendicular to their attachment, a conical spout for drinking water is glued. The neck, preserved in its lowest part, is separated from the body by a small, sharply profiled hump. The entire surface of the vessel is covered with light whitewash. Nile clay, medium-porous, 5th century, Tell Atrib, vessel, height 17.0 cm, width 11.5 cm, diameter 4 cm base, An aged, weathered clay vessel in shades of beige, tan, and reddish-brown floats against a smooth gray background; the vessel has a rounded, tapering body with horizontal ridged texture, a small protruding spout on one side, an irregular broken rim with rough edges, visible cracks and chips, and surface spots of darker brown and lighter beige variations.
