Water vessel qulla. Ovoid, elongated belly with the edge of the foot protruding outward. Short, wide neck transitions into a higher, slightly flared section above a sharp break in the wall. Inside the neck is a strainer formed by puncturing holes in the clay before firing. Entire surface covered with cream-yellow whitewash. Made of medium-porous Nile clay. 2nd half of the 5th–6th century. From Tell Atrib. Vessel for storing water. Height 17.2 cm; width 9.3 cm; outer rim diameter 7 cm; base diameter 5 cm., A single round ceramic object sits near the center of the image against a smooth flat background; the object is mainly beige with areas of reddish-brown where the surface is chipped or worn, and it has a rough, speckled texture. The top face of the object shows a recessed circular area with several circular holes and fragmented edges, and a shadow extends to the right creating a gradient from medium gray near the object to darker gray farther out. The background is uniformly gray with subtle variations in tone.
