Small ceramic vessel with a narrow neck, round belly on a rounded foot; central front of the belly decorated with an image of a sphinx; back of the vessel has worn finials. Height 9.4 cm, diameter 6 cm. Maker unknown Attic workshop., A small ceramic jug with a rounded body, a narrow neck that flares into a wide rim, and a single curved handle; the surface shows worn areas and chipped paint, revealing a reddish-brown clay beneath a predominantly black slip, with patches of the reddish-brown visible across the body and handle, and a circular hole on one side; there is a painted decorative element in a reddish-brown hue against the black on the body, and the base shows exposed reddish-brown clay with some black residue.
