Processional cross, Ethiopian workshop. A small, likely processional isosceles cross with slightly widening arms terminating in trefoil-shaped projections except for the lower arm, which has a mounting socket. Arms are connected by crossbars with a central recess on each. Surface decorated with incised small triangles forming an edge ornament. At the arms' intersection is a rhombus containing a rosette and central cross; lower part features a rhombus through which the socket runs, its edges likewise decorated with triangular incisions. 20th century, Addis Ababa. Height 29 cm, width 14.5 cm., A carved wooden object with a symmetrical, cross-like shape featuring geometric cutouts and incised triangular patterns, displaying a rich brown color with areas of darker brown and hints of yellowish tones.
