Processional cross, Ethiopian workshop. At the intersection of the cross's arms is a square depicting three seated, frontally posed figures of the Holy Trinity, each holding a spherical object in their right hand as a symbol of power over the world. The arms of the cross are trapezoidal with rounded outer sides; the horizontal beam terminates in trapezoidal crosses, and a similar cross is placed at the top of the vertical beam. The handle is sleeve-shaped, widening at the bottom, with two semicircles attached to its sides. On the reverse, at the intersection of the arms, there is an archangel holding a sword. 20th century, Ethiopia. Material: metal cross. Height 39 cm, width 23 cm., An intricately carved wooden object with a cross-like top section and a long tapered handle, featuring a central square panel containing a carved human figure with wings; the surface shows carved geometric patterns and textured areas, with visible colors including dark brown, reddish-brown, black, and a pale gray background.
