Aryballus lekythos, decoration: on the belly a winged Nike in right profile, dressed in a long chiton, holding a box with both hands above a basket standing on the ground; ca. 460–450 BC; Attica place of manufacture; lekythos vessel; height 13.3 cm, width 8 cm, rim diameter 4 cm, foot diameter 6.4 cm., An upright ceramic vessel with a rounded body, narrow neck, flared rim, and a curved handle attached from neck to shoulder; the surface shows a worn black slip with areas of exposed tan clay where the black has chipped away, creating irregular patches and scratches; the rim, handle edges, shoulder, and base reveal the tan color more prominently; the overall background is a pale neutral tone.
