Family tombstone with epitaph, unknown workshop, Greek inscriptions, restitution Braniewo; Lyc.Hosianum, sepulchral funerary architecture, riders iconographic, wreaths, laurel wreaths, ribbon ornament, horses iconographic, sepulchral sculpture artist, rectangular marble slab, diagonally cracked. The block bears an inscription divided into three parts and two reliefs — a laurel wreath with a ribbon and a metope with a depiction of a young man on horseback accompanied by a slave . Both faces are damaged — perhaps hammered. The rider is dressed in a chiton and chlamys. The slave is exaggeratedly reduced in size in relation to the rider. He is dressed in a short girded chiton and holds a spear in his hand. 1st century BC–1st century AD, Cyzicus, Asia Minor, Greek inscription, grave inscription, stele, gravestone, bas-relief; height 76 cm, width 203 cm, depth 11 cm, weight 450 kg, A carved stone slab in pale gray with a recessed rectangular panel showing a relief of a person seated on a horse, the person and horse rendered in the same pale gray stone; to the left of the horse in the panel stands a smaller human figure; the slab surface around the panel is smooth with a few visible cracks and chips and contains a grid of carved lines forming rows of shallow incised marks across the right and lower areas; the stone shows subtle variations of light gray and off-white tones and some darker gray shadows in recessed areas.
