Greek honorific inscription, unknown Greek workshop, creator, decrees, Hellenistic period, cities, Greek inscriptions, actors, Stele topped with a tympanum, separated from the epigraphic field by moldings. Eleven lines of Greek text preserved, partially damaged, especially on the right and left edges. The text was longer, the lower part of the object is missing. The back side is unworked. Greek honorific inscription with a decree from Perinthus in honor of the tragic actor Athenaios. 300–250 BC, Perinthus, Greek inscription, height 38 cm, width 25.5 cm, thickness 18 cm, weight 16.2 kg, A roughly rectangular stone slab with an irregular top edge and rounded corners resting against a neutral gray background; the stone's surface is textured and weathered with an overall palette of beige, light brown, off-white, and gray tones, with darker gray and brown patches and some faint white mineral deposits; shallow carved lines and incised areas are visible across the face of the slab, creating a subtle pattern of horizontal divisions and small depressions; the top has a slightly raised triangular profile and a rougher, more eroded texture, while the lower area shows smoother worn areas and a few small chips and cracks.
