Rectangular stamp seal with a handle in the form of a protruding ridge along the axis of the seal with a crosswise drilled hole. On a rectangular base with rounded corners is a schematic representation of a demon, in human form and with wings instead of arms. Unspecified filler elements are on the sides of the demon. c. 1650–c. 1350 BC; Late Bronze Period. Northwest Syria place of manufacture, Near East place of find. Material: seal. Dimensions: height 1.7 cm, width 4.2 cm, depth 3.2 cm., A dark rounded rectangular object with a smooth, slightly worn surface showing a few rough patches and chips in lighter tones; the object is primarily black with small areas of gray, off-white, and beige where the surface is worn away, and it has shallow carved or indented grooves across its face giving it a segmented appearance.
