Ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC; Tell Rad Shakra northeastern Syria, Northern Mesopotamia Khabur Basin, decoration; children's graves; biconical, cylindrical, spherical, and fluted beads., A circular arrangement of small rounded objects laid out on a gray background, forming an open ring with a gap at the top; the objects vary in size and texture with a few larger, roughly spherical pieces at the bottom and several smaller bead-like pieces around the sides and top. The objects display colors including shades of brown, gray, beige, off-white, and hints of green; some have smooth surfaces while others show pitting, roughness, or ridged grooves, and a few have visible central holes. The overall scene shows the objects spaced evenly to create a symmetrical arc against the uniform gray field.
