Set of four disc-shaped beads of different sizes, unknown northern Mesopotamian workshop; beads, disc-shaped, jewellery; likely from children's graves; ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC, Early Jazira III period Early Dynastic III; Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra, Northeastern Syria; decoration., A row of four round, donut-shaped translucent objects arranged against a solid grey background, each with a central hole and irregular, slightly rough edges; the leftmost piece is larger and milky off-white with beige and pale tan speckles and a crystalline texture, the next is a clear to cloudy pale white with subtle internal fractures, the next is slightly smaller and translucent with faint beige inclusions and a glossy surface, and the rightmost is the smallest, mostly clear with small tan flecks and a shiny, irregular surface.
