Kitchen pot, unknown northern Mesopotamian workshop; kitchen vessels. A kitchen pot with an egg-shaped belly with a rounded bottom, slightly inward-sloping walls, terminating at the top in a rim diagonally cut inward. A few centimeters below the rim, four symmetrically placed horizontal crescent-shaped handles are attached. The outer walls are intentionally roughened at the bottom up to 2/3 of the vessel's height, while polished above. The roughened part of the vessel is heavily sooted. The fabric contains a rich admixture of crushed quartz. Clay vessel; 1st half of the 3rd millennium BC, Early Jazira III period. From Tell Rad Shakra northeastern Syria, Northern Mesopotamia.
