Clay flask-shaped vessel with an elongated ovoid belly, rounded bottom, high slightly conically flaring neck separated from the belly by narrow shoulders, ending with a flat top and a protruding externally thickened rim with a triangular cross-section. 2nd half of the 3rd millennium BC; Early Jazira IV period Akkadian period; ca. 2350–ca. 2200 BC. Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra North-Eastern Syria. Height 14.8 cm, width 10.2 cm, weight 315 g., A rounded ceramic vessel with a narrow neck flaring into a wide rim sits against a plain gray background; the vessel shows a textured surface with uneven patches of light beige, tan, and pale brown, with some slightly darker brown areas and faint surface marks and speckles, and it rests on a clear circular stand that appears colorless and slightly reflective.
