Spherical vessel, unknown northern Mesopotamian workshop, clay, Early Jazira III / Early Dynastic III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Spherical vessel with an egg-shaped belly with a rounded bottom and a low cylindrical neck ending with a thickened rim turned outwards. Origin: Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra, Syria. Vessel; height 7.8 cm, width 6.5 cm., A rounded clay vessel with a narrow neck and flared rim sits against a solid gray background; the vessel surface is mostly off-white with areas of pale beige and light brown discoloration, visible weathering and surface cracks, and patches of darker brown and muted reddish-brown along one side, with a small area of faint blue and a touch of red near the lower edge.
