Globular vessel, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC / Early Dynastic III period; globular vessel with a narrow neck upper part of neck and spout not preserved, thickened circular base; clay; function: vessel for oils and ointments; vice-free vessel; origin: Northern Mesopotamia Al-Jazira, Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra, Syria; height 11.3 cm, width 10.45 cm., A rounded, weathered vessel with a narrow, irregular rim sits against a flat gray background; the vessel surface is rough and pitted with a sandy beige color and subtle variations of light tan and pale brown, with a few darker brown speckles and scattered areas of slightly darker, earthy beige where the texture is more eroded.
