Globular vessel, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop; clay; Early Jazira III / Early Dynastic III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Globular vessel with a low, conically flaring neck terminating in a narrow, slightly thickened and everted rim; rounded, slightly flattened bottom. Origin: Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra, Al-Jazira Syria/Iraq. Vessel; height 8.4 cm, width 9.5 cm., A rounded, bulbous vessel with a short, flaring neck and a slightly thickened rim sits against a solid background; the surface of the vessel shows a weathered, uneven texture with mottled patches and speckling in shades of beige, tan, brown, and hints of cream, and there are areas of lighter and darker discoloration and subtle surface abrasions.
