Low vessel with a spherical belly, rounded bottom and low, wide neck with a narrow, upturned spout. The vessel was carefully smoothed and fired in a reduction atmosphere. ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC; Syria, Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra. Vessel, height 9.4 cm, width 9.7 cm., A round clay vessel with a wide rim and an open top sits against a plain gray background, showing a weathered surface with visible cracks and repaired seams, textured horizontal striations, and small chips and pitted spots; the vessel displays shades of brown, gray, taupe, and darker earthy tones with lighter flecks and a darker interior.
