Vessel, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC, metallic ware; spherical, vice-free vessel for oils and ointments. Low vessel with a spherical belly, rounded bottom and low, wide neck with a narrow, upturned spout. The vessel was carefully smoothed and fired in a reduction atmosphere. Ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC; Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra Northeastern Syria. Height 9.4 cm, width 9.7 cm., A round, worn clay vessel with a narrow rim and a few visible cracks and chips, showing irregular repair lines and rough surface texture; the colors visible are gray, brown, and dark gray, set against a solid muted gray background.
