Fibula a Drago, One-piece bronze fibula with an arched ring of circular cross-section bearing four pairs of protrusions terminating in spherical bulges. The transition from the ring to the pin is a flat rhombus. Long cylindrical sheath with a slit for the pin. Ends of the pin and sheath are broken off. Dated 950–750 BC 4th quarter 8th–7th century BC. Findspot: Cumae . Fibula; height 3.2 cm, width 6.5 cm., A small sculptural object with an irregular, organic form floating against a pale gray background; the object has a vertical symmetry with a central spine and several rounded protrusions on either side, and its surface shows a mix of greenish patina, brown, and darker bronze tones with textured, slightly rough areas and subtle highlights.
