The transition from the ring to the pin is a flat rhombus. Long cylindrical sheath with a slit for the pin. Preservation: ends of the pin and sheath broken off. Date: 950–750 BC 4th quarter 8th–7th century BC. Findspot: Cumae . Type: fibula. Dimensions: height 3.2 cm, width 6.5 cm., A small elongated metal object with an irregular, organic shape is centered against a plain light gray background; the object has a horizontal bar with a rounded, slightly tapered end on one side and a broadened, bulbous form on the other, and a series of rounded protrusions hanging from and rising above the bar; the surface shows a mottled patina in shades of dark brown, green, and hints of black, with areas of varied texture and slight shininess.
