Oil lamp, Reddish, fine-grained clay. Low lamp with broad arms slightly curled inward. Large oil opening, short burner with a large oval wick hole. Slightly concave base. Lustrous fir inside the lamp, on the arms, and on the burner. 5th century BC. Height 1.7 cm; width 9.6 cm., A low, rounded ceramic vessel with a short spout, showing worn and chipped surfaces; the body displays a mix of earthy tan and dark brown to black areas with patches where the outer layer has flaked away, revealing lighter tan beneath; the interior rim and basin show similar wear with mottled dark brown and tan tones; the piece rests on a light gray background and casts a soft shadow.
