Vessel, Egyptian ceramics. Wheel-made from Nile clay of type NB2 Vienna System. Ovoid belly, wide short neck, rounded bottom, straight upturned rim. Surface levelled and covered with engobe; outer surface red, inner surface yellowish-brown. Firing hole at widest circumference, approx. 1 cm diameter. Well-preserved. ca. 1550–1295 BC; New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty; Deir el-Medina. Vessel: height 27 cm; rim diameter 11 cm; body diameter 20.5 cm., A large rounded clay vessel with a narrow neck and slightly flared rim is centered against a plain light gray background; the surface of the vessel shows a rough, textured finish with visible small pits and irregularities and a gradient of earthy colors including terracotta, muted orange, pale pink, and areas of dusty brown and gray, with subtle darker speckles and weathered patches.
