Canopic urn. Clay canopic urn with a cylindrical shape and a flat bottom and a flat, straight rim. Vessel made on the wheel of Nile clay type NB2 Vienna System. The bottom is cut off with a knife; surface leveled. On the outer wall is a rectangle painted in red, measuring 11.5 cm width by 11 cm height. Color of vessel: light brown. Preservation condition: quite good — rim partially filled with plaster and painted. Date: ca. 1550–ca. 1069 BC New Kingdom. Place of origin: Deir el-Medina. Function/type: canopic vessel. Height 23.5 cm; diameter rim 12.5 cm; diameter bottom 11.4 cm. Maker: unknown., A top-down view of a round, open clay vessel with an uneven rim and rough texture, showing colors of brown, tan, beige, gray, black, and small patches of white; the interior appears very dark to black while the background is a uniform light gray.
