Canopic urn, Clay canopic urn with a cylindrical shape and a flat bottom and flat, straight rim. Made on the wheel of Nile clay type NB2 Vienna System. Bottom cut off with a knife; surface leveled. Outer wall painted with a red rectangle measuring 11.5 cm × 11 cm. Color light brown. Rim partially filled with plaster and painted. Date: ca. 1550–ca. 1069 BC New Kingdom, provenance: Deir el-Medina. Vessel; height 23.5 cm, rim diameter 12.5 cm, bottom diameter 11.4 cm., A tall cylindrical clay vessel with an uneven rim and a slightly tapered base, showing a large rectangular painted area on its side; the vessel's surface is rough with visible tool marks, small chips, and pitting. The visible colors are muted beige and light tan across most of the vessel, a broad rusty red rectangular panel on the body, and small darker brown spots and scratches. The background is a uniform neutral gray.
