Canopic urn, Clay canopic urn with a cylindrical shape and a flat bottom and a flat, straight rim. Vessel made on the wheel of Nile clay type NB2 Vienna System. Bottom is cut off with a knife; surface leveled. On the outer wall is a rectangle painted in red, measuring 11.5 cm width by 11 cm height. Color of vessel: light brown. Preservation quite good — rim partially filled with plaster and painted. Date: ca. 1550–ca. 1069 BC New Kingdom, provenance: Deir el-Medina. Function: canopic urn. Dimensions: height 23.5 cm; diameter 12.5 cm rim; diameter 11.4 cm bottom., A tall cylindrical ceramic vessel with a matte, weathered surface showing a range of earthy colors including beige, light tan, pale cream, and a vertical patch of muted reddish-brown on one side; the surface has visible cracks, small pits, and irregular texture variations, with subtle horizontal striations and areas of slightly darker and lighter tones, and a top rim that is uneven and worn.
