Canopic urn. Clay canopic urn with a cylindrical shape and a flat bottom; flat, straight rim. Vessel made on the wheel of Nile clay type NB2 Vienna System. Bottom cut off with a knife; surface leveled. On the outer wall is a rectangle painted in red, 11.5 cm wide by 11 cm high. Color light brown. Preservation quite good; rim partially filled with plaster and painted. ca. 1550–ca. 1069 BC New Kingdom, Deir el-Medina. Vessel; height 23.5 cm, rim diameter 12.5 cm, bottom diameter 11.4 cm., A cylindrical clay vessel shown upright against a neutral background, with a wide rectangular reddish-brown painted panel on its front; the vessel's body is a pale beige-cream color with visible brush and clay texture, small dark specks and tiny pits in the surface, and subtle horizontal striations; the rim is slightly uneven and darker beige with a few small chips, and the base area shows some darker smudges and soil-colored marks.
