Ushabti. A mummy-shaped ushabti figurine made of clay, impressed in a mold. Traces of white primer and paint remain in places; significant overall paint loss. The back is unfinished. Arms are separate, hands crossed on the chest with the left likely folded over the right. The figurine holds hoes in both hands β the right hoe is much clearer, the left indistinct; the tools are painted black. Head bears a three-part wig with the rear strand not separated; ears invisible; facial details illegible. Inscription illegible/missing. Typology Schneider: 4.3.2 VIIIA2/W.16 H.29 I.5 B.0 Tp.0. Date ca. 1069β715 BC, Third Intermediate Period 21stβ23rd Dynasty. Type: shabti. Dimensions: height 9.4 cm, width 3.1 cm, depth 2.7 cm., A roughly elongated, tapering object with a textured, crumbly surface in shades of brown and tan, with patches of lighter beige and pale yellow; there is a vertical area of muted red pigment on the surface; the background is a flat, uniform gray.
