Onion-shaped fibula, Italy. Bronze fibula with a hinged structure and an arched ring made from a quadrilateral plate; one end terminates in a thick transverse plate with a stepped upper edge and large balls on both sides, the other end has a thick sheath formed as a half-cylinder, cut to insert a needle. Condition: good, surface with greenish corrosion and brown spots. Late 3rd–4th century, Rome . Jewelry, fibula., A single small metal object with a curved arch and a rounded knob at one end sits against a plain gray background; the object shows a patina with shades of green, brown, and dark gray, with some areas appearing mottled and worn, a thin flat flange extends from beneath the arch and a narrow straight bar connects the arch to the knob, the surfaces show irregular texture and some rough edges.
