Vessel with hieratic inscription, Egyptian pottery, conical clay vessel tapering toward the bottom, irregular, widest at approximately 3/4 of the height. Narrow, sloping shoulders; short, wide neck; gently rounded, slightly flaring rim; pointed bottom. Handcrafted; upper part shoulders, neck, rim turned. Smooth surface, externally probably covered with a layer of engobe. Made of Nile clay NB2 Vienna System. Remains of a hieratic inscription in black on the lower part of the belly. Fairly well preserved; damage to the rim. Old Kingdom, Edfu. Height 14.6 cm; rim diameter 5.8 cm; belly diameter 8.7 cm.
