Vessel by, Egyptian pottery ceramic conical vessel tapering toward the bottom, irregular, widest approx. 3/4 of the height; narrow sloping shoulders; short wide neck; rounded outward rim slightly widening; pointed bottom. Handcrafted: upper part shoulders, neck, rim turned. Smooth surface; exterior probably coated by the potter with a layer of clay mixture applied by hand. Made of Nile clay NB2 Vienna System. Beige and red coloration. Vessel cracked along one wall; rim damaged. Analogies: parallels in Petrie Dendera, Abydos, Hope Akhmim, Reisner Mycerinus; Naga ed-Der, Brunton Qau and Badari, Mace Naga ed-Der II, Keiser et al. MDAIK 40, fig.9b. Old Kingdom, Edfu. Height 13 cm; rim diameter 6.3 cm; body diameter 9 cm., A round clay vessel viewed from above with a large dark opening in the center, the vessel surface showing a rough, textured appearance with small pits and imperfections; the clay is a warm brown color with lighter and darker brown variations, and the background is a flat gray.
