Vessel, Beer jug of a slightly irregular, conical shape with a wide, very short neck and a flat bottom. Flat, straight rim. Wheel-made from Nile clay of type NB2-ND Vienna System. Bottom is cut off with string, with clear potter's fingerprints around the bottom. Surface even. Clay color: red. Vessel complete, fairly well preserved, with minor damage to the rim and small chips on the surface. ca. 1550–ca. 1069 BC; New Kingdom, Edfu. Vessel. Height 24.4 cm; rim diameter 9.8 cm; body diameter 16.3 cm; bottom diameter 8.5 cm., A weathered clay vessel with an uneven rounded body and a narrow rim, showing a rough, textured surface with visible horizontal turning marks and small pits; the lower part has cracks, chips, and areas of abrasion, and there are traces of whitish deposits in places. The visible colors are various shades of tan, brown, reddish-brown, pale beige, and small hints of gray.
