Vessel. Beer jug of a slightly irregular, conical shape with a wide, very short neck and a flat bottom. Flat, straight rim. Wheel-made from Nile clay of type NB2-ND Vienna System. The bottom is cut off with string, with clear potter's fingerprints around the bottom. Surface even. Clay color: red. Vessel complete, fairly well preserved, with minor damage to the rim and small chips on the surface. ca. 1550–ca. 1069 BC; New Kingdom, Edfu. Vessel. Height 24.4 cm; diameter rim 9.8 cm; diameter body 16.3 cm; diameter bottom 8.5 cm., A large, rounded clay vessel with a narrow neck and flared rim sits centered against a neutral gray background; the vessel surface shows an earthy palette of terracotta, pale brown, beige, and hints of dusty orange with areas of lighter and darker shading, visible horizontal banding and ridges from its construction, rough and pitted textures, several small holes and abrasions, and a few patches of uneven, crumbly surface near the lower half.
