Vessel, Beer jug of a slightly irregular, conical shape with a wide, very short neck and a flat bottom. Flat, narrow shoulders and a gently rounded, straight rim. Wheel-made of Nile clay type NB2 Vienna System. The bottom is cut off with string and bears clear potter's fingerprints, flaring slightly in its lowest part. Surface even; color red. Complete and fairly well preserved, with minor damage to the bottom. New Kingdom, ca. 1550–1069 BC; origin Edfu. Dimensions: height 24 cm; rim diameter 10 cm; body diameter 16 cm; bottom diameter 9.2 cm., A round clay vessel viewed from above with a wide circular opening revealing a dark interior, the vessel surface showing a rough texture and shades of brown, tan, and reddish-brown against a light gray background.
