Bowl, A conical clay bowl with a ring-shaped ring bottom, wheel-made from Nile clay type NB2, Vienna System. The walls are even and covered with red engobe; the inner surface is polished. The rim is straight, slightly curled toward the center. A black painted band approx. 1 cm wide appears on the inside and outside of the rim. Vessel color: red. Preservation: quite good, minor losses on the rim and minor surface damages. Comparative dating: New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty ca. 1550–1295 BC; Tuthmosis III. Dimensions: height 5.5 cm; rim diameter 16.4 cm; bottom diameter 3.6 cm. Place of origin: Deir el-Medina, Egypt., A shallow, rounded ceramic bowl with a worn rim and uneven edge, showing surface chips and weathering; the bowl's exterior and interior display a terracotta color with patches of darker brown and areas of lighter, pale discoloration; the rim has a band of dark grayish-brown with small flecks of yellowish residue; the surface texture appears rough and pitted in places, with a small raised foot at the base; the background is a smooth, pale gray.
