Bowl, A conical clay bowl with a ring-shaped bottom, wheel-made from Nile clay type NB2, Vienna System. The walls are even and covered with red engobe; the interior is polished. The rim is straight and slightly curled toward the center. A black painted band ~1 cm wide decorates the inside and outside of the rim. Vessel color: red. Preservation: quite good, with minor losses on the rim and small surface damages. Dimensions: height 5.5 cm; rim diameter 16.4 cm; bottom diameter 3.6 cm. Date: ca. 1550–1295 BC, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty Tuthmosis III. Origin: Deir el-Medina. Type: ceramic vessel painted bowl., A shallow, rounded bowl with a wide rim shown in profile, exhibiting an earthy reddish-brown body with areas of darker brown and gray along the rim and scattered lighter spots and patches on the surface, a few small rough pits and irregularities in texture, and an overall matte, weathered appearance against a neutral gray background.
