Bowl, Egyptian painted pottery bowl with a conical shape and a ring-shaped foot. Straight rim, slightly flaring outward, irregular. Wheel-made of Nile clay type ND, Vienna System. Surface covered with glaze before firing; inner and outer rim have a narrow approx. 0.5 cm black band of decoration; remainder of vessel is red. Traces of polish and slight glaze wear possibly from use. Good condition with minor clay chips on rim and surface abrasions. Analogies: Egypt's Golden Age no. 51, p. 78, ca. 1550–1425 BC; New Kingdom, early 18th Dynasty. Provenance possibly Edfu or Deir el-Medina.
