Vessel, Egyptian pottery vessel, clay, hand-made; almost cylindrical, widest just below a straight, slightly tapering rim; rounded bottom; shoulders almost illegible. Handmade of Nile clay with numerous organic inclusions and limestone particles visible on the surface; carelessly made with uneven depressions, especially at the bottom; brown color; cracks on the surface resulting from workmanship and firing. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–ca. 2181 BC; from Edfu.
