Vessel, Egyptian pottery, hand-made clay vessel, almost cylindrical, widest just below a straight tapering rim; rounded base; slightly marked, narrow sloping shoulders. Handmade from Nile clay with organic inclusions and limestone particles; surface uneven, better worked in upper part, with numerous uneven depressions and cracks from careless kneading and firing. Brown color. Fairly well preserved. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC; Edfu; vessel; height 36.5 cm; rim diameter 11.5 cm; body diameter 13.2 cm., A top-down view of a round, hollow clay vessel with an irregular rim, showing a rough textured exterior in shades of brown and tan, a deep black interior, and small areas of white residue on the inner rim, set against a flat light gray background.
