Vessel, Egyptian pottery, hand-made clay vessel; Old Kingdom, c. 2686–c. 2181 BC; from Edfu; vessel, height 33.5 cm, rim diameter 10.4 cm, body diameter 15.1 cm., A tall, weathered clay vessel with a rough, pitted surface occupies the image, showing an elongated, slightly tapered form with an irregular rim that has a small chip. The surface displays a range of earthy colors including light brown, tan, beige, and touches of gray, with darker brown spots and small shadowed cavities across the body. The texture appears coarse and porous with visible pits, cracks, and tiny holes, and there are subtle variations in hue creating faint horizontal banding and mottling. The background is a uniform neutral gray.
