Bowl, Deep, cup-shaped bowl with a slightly convex bottom and sides arching upwards; straight, flat-topped, flaring rim. Made of Nile clay NB1 ?. Covered with an engobe containing red ochre and thoroughly polished. Red color. Well-preserved, with slight damage to the rim. Comparative references suggest parallels from the Old Kingdom IV–VI dynasties, ca. 2686–2181 BC. From Edfu. Dimensions: height 13.8 cm; rim diameter 28.8 cm; bottom diameter 11.9 cm., A round, shallow bowl with a concave center sits against a flat background; the bowl is primarily brown with areas of darker and lighter brown variations and small pale flecks, and the background is a uniform gray.
